Fishers, once prized for their fur, make a comeback

The fur-trapping trade has all but vanished from Washington and Oregon. But even today, there are still people out in the woods, trying to track down a sleek, furry creature called a fisher.

I reported and produced this story in partnership with the team at Oregon Field Guide, one of the longest-running weekly local news show in the PBS system. It was paired online with a written story and was I also edited it for radio, which received distribution locally and nationally via NPR's Here and Now show.
